Celem niniejszego opracowania jest interdyscyplinarne wyodrębnienie kategorii inności w odniesieniu do ucznia niepełnosprawnego w klasie integracyjnej, przydatne w rozważaniach dotyczących postrzegania tego ucznia przez pryzmat odmienności i obcości, nadania mu etykiety inności oraz ulegania przezeń procesowi integracji szkolnej. Inność, która jest cechą wyróżniającą w danej grupie, bardzo często stanowi barierę w kontaktach międzyludzkich. Inny często podlega społecznej segregacji i wykluczeniu. Family perceived as a basic environment conditioning the overall develoment of a child is important not only for healthy, normally developing children; in the upbringing of a child with a disability the role and importance of the family are greatly increased. Children with disabilities are particularly at risk of the consequences of negative attitudes of parents, because the attitudes of relatives, especially the parents', determine a child's proper development, and they are crucial for the effects obtained in the process of rehabilitation.
